The Dell 2.4TB 10K RPM SAS-12GBPS 512E 256MB SFF Hard Disk has a spindle speed of 10,000 revolutions per minute (RPM). A high spindle speed such as 10K RPM allows for faster data access and improved performance compared to hard drives with slower spindle speeds. The Dell hard drive uses a SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) interface, which is a high-performance interface that supports fast data transfer rates and is backward compatible with SAS 6Gbps and SAS 3Gbps.
